Tavia Christina was in her second year studies when I reached to her for collaboration on creative dance shoot during my studies at Ryerson School of Image. At that time, I was still learning about my craft how to photograph dance and learning to how to give direction to young dancer. However, Tavia was able to performed her short dance piece effortlessly while I documented the shot of each forms and movements with very little direction. She made the whole shooting process an easy breeze. It was amazing to see how beautiful and raw is the emotion she expressed in the photograph and there was a clear indication I believed that her wisdom and artistry insight into dance expression showed maturity and wise beyond her years. She is a very talented, amazing dancer.
